Amica Jubilee House Expansion, Victoria BC

The Amica Jubilee House Expansion is expected to open in 2027. This addition will be focused on Independent Living, making Amica Jubilee House a true Continuum of Care (Independent Living, Assisted Living, and Memory Care).

Situated immediately to the West of Phase 1, which opened in December 2023, all units will have kitchens so residents can maintain their independence. Residents will also be able to access the amenities in Phase 1 through a covered and heated walkway. This Independent Living addition will allow residents to age in place, without any concern about being relocated due to changing physical and cognitive needs.

The New Amica Douglas House, Victoria, BC

Amica Douglas House is in James Bay, at 50 Douglas Street, across the road from Beacon Hill Park and the Mile Zero Monument. Originally built in 1966, Amica Douglas House is a 4-storey independent living facility that currently provides 102 suites.

The current residence is 2 separate buildings that were connected years ago. The proposal is to replace the existing Douglas House buildings with a modern 6 storey senior’s community which will focus exclusively on Memory Care and Assisted Living residents.  The New Douglas House will meet and exceed current building standards, including fire and earthquake controls and spacious and modern elevators. It will offer chef prepared meals in multiple dining rooms, gracious living and tv rooms, generous common areas for gathering with friends and family and will have a rooftop patio with planting beds and wonderful ocean and Beacon Hill Park views.

The existing historic home on Battery Street is proposed to be refurbished and refreshed and will be very much a part of the new Douglas House.

Amica Brittania, Calgary, AB

Amica Britannia, formerly Maison Senior Living, Calgary, opened in December, 2013. It is located at 49th Avenue SW and Elbow Drive – across from Britannia Plaza and at the heart of SW Calgary’s most affluent neighbourhoods.

Amica Calgary provides 70 senior Calgarians with Assisted Living and Memory Care services. Amenities and services, consistent with Amica Lions Gate, include chef prepared meals, large patios, an award winning interior, and a private dining room and theatre.
